Barbara Streisand was unaware that she won the Oscar in the category of Best Actress for "Funny Girl" in 1969.

Streisand is the only and first female artist who had won two Grammy awards for Album of  the Year in 1974 .

Her first Emmy win in 1995 for "Barbra: The Concert” was the first television project she directed.

At the age of 27, she became the youngest EGOT winner for Best Actress in a Musical in 1970  for “Funny Girl.”

In 2015, President Obama  honoured her the country’s  highest civilian honour, the  "Presidential Medal of  Freedom."

She is the only person to win  an Oscar and a Golden  Globe for the same  movie (Yentl).

She  declined the American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998, stating she felt it was too early in her career.
