A Mayhem Made In Arkham?

The trailer begins with a lovely cover of “What the World Needs Now Is Love” in the soundtrack. We meet the almost new Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga, in a pure white room that looks like it’s inside Arkham Asylum. Behind the bars, she meets Arthur Fleck, who is once again performance in a supereb way of Joaquin Phoenix. There is an instant link between them and Harley asks, “Do you want to get out of here?” This sentence introduces a twisted love affair and possible escape, which lead to their madness.

Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn: A Fresh Look on the DC Villain:

Gaga’s version of Harley Quinn offers a new take on the iconic villain. Although we have some fleeting images of her vivacity and determination, nevertheless, a shadow of vulnerability is also apparent. Her Harley only isn’t in a jester outfit, but she has a captivating charisma that Arthur Fleck really can’t help but be drawn to. The trailer doesn’t provide much information about Harley’s past or what did she do to be placed in the Arkham, but it does attract the viewer’s attention, that’s for sure.

A Musical Descent:

The trailer has one of the most outstanding musical components. Lost is the raw realism of the original movie. The trailer has numerous musical parts, among them, one of a dreamy dance scene between Harley and Arthur within the walls of the asylum. Some fans are inquisitive of this change in tone, whereas others are uncertain as to how it would integrate with the dark and disturbing issues presented in the first movie.

Gotham on Fire:

The trailer also gives us shots of what is happening outside of the asylum’s walls. Shots of Gotham City appear to be on fire, suggesting the devastation that Harley and Arthur will wreak. They are shown walking up courthouse stairs in the midst of people that might indicate a trial or public show. The scene with a TV show called “Joker & Harley” contributes to the theatrical and maybe satirical aspects of the movie.

Phoenix’s Arthur:

A Descent Deeper into Madness: Joaquin Phoenix returns as Arthur Fleck, but this time, he is even more unglued. What is noticeable are brief glimpses of the well-known Joker laugh, but there is also a whiff of desperation and longing for bonding in his eyes. The representation of Phoenix remains the major part of the film, and how his character interacts with Harley and how their common insanity develops the film’s plot will remain quite fascinating.

The Ending:

The trailer concludes with a most impactful picture. Harley, who is behind the panel from Arthur, applies a bloody lipstick smile on the glass. On the other hand, Arthur reflects the smile, an ominous symbol of their common delusion and the darkness that awaits Gotham City.
